SharetoBoard
Android quick start

Set up your board and your favorite capture shortcuts.

Start here if you have received an Android direct-install invitation from SharetoBoard.com. Follow its installation instructions, then connect Poppy and choose the shortcuts you want. The full direct edition and limited beta include different features; use the controls available in your installed edition.

No public Android download yet. Wait for an invitation identifying the signed APK and its installation instructions. Use any email address where you can receive updates; a store account is not needed.
Poppy is separate. The embedded Poppy sign-in uses email and password. Google-only Poppy sign-in is not supported inside SharetoBoard.
Before the invitation

Before you begin

Your direct-install invitation

Use the SharetoBoard.com download identified in your invitation. Check the app version, edition, and signed-package details before installing. Do not use a forwarded or unofficial copy.

Poppy account

Have a Poppy email-and-password account and a board for your first non-sensitive note. Poppy sign-in and content remain managed by Poppy.

Your first capture

Use non-sensitive links, text, notes, recordings, photos, and files. Start with something you are comfortable sharing while you learn the app.

SharetoBoard may earn a commission from the affiliate route at no extra cost to you. Full disclosure.

Once you have access

First-run setup

  1. Install the signed APK from SharetoBoard.com. Follow your invitation and review Android’s installation prompts. If the package is blocked or its signer is unexpected, stop and ask support. Keep device protections on; do not uninstall an existing copy just to force an update.
  2. Review consent and privacy. Read the setup disclosures before enabling capture surfaces. The privacy policy opens on this site.
  3. Sign in to Poppy. Enter credentials only on Poppy’s sign-in screen. Use email-and-password sign-in.
  4. Choose the target board. Open the intended Poppy board and use SharetoBoard’s explicit target-selection action. Do not paste credentials or send them to support.
  5. Share a simple link. Share a public URL or short selected-text sample, confirm the destination, and verify that the intended Poppy workflow opens.
  6. Try local capture if available. Create a short Note or Record, then find it in the local Inbox. Review it there before exporting, deleting or choosing an available delivery option.
Credential boundary: Never send SharetoBoard support a Poppy password, verification code, sign-in link, authorization code, API key, or identity token.
Fast capture surfaces

Enable the doors you will actually reach for.

Share sheet

Send supported links, text, or items from the Android app already open, then confirm the destination.

Selected text

Capture the exact sentence while your reason for keeping it is still obvious.

Quick Note

Type a thought from Quick Capture without detouring through a temporary notes app.

Record

Capture a voice thought when typing is slower than the idea. Check whether you are opening the local recorder or Poppy’s online recorder before starting.

Selfie

Capture visual context from the camera when describing it later would lose important detail.

Import

Bring in a supported existing file without creating an extra holding place first.

Widgets

Place the capture action on the home screen so opening the app is not a prerequisite.

Quick Settings and nudges

Use Quick Settings tiles and explicitly selected calendar nudges for moments when those surfaces are closest.

Native Capture

Know what stays local before it is handed off.

Encrypted local Note and Record

Native Capture saves notes and recordings in encrypted app storage so you can review them in the local Inbox.

On-device transcription

Where available, the local recorder can transcribe on your device. Review the text for mistakes before using or sharing it.

Local Inbox and recovery

Use the local Inbox to review saved captures and the available export, deletion and recovery controls.

Do not infer delivery

Saved locally does not mean sent to Poppy. Check the destination after you choose to share.

Build a capture habit

Try the 14-Day Capture to Clarity challenge.

The challenge keeps prompts, idea lanes, feature missions, and feedback near the captures on a Poppy board. It is designed to reveal which surfaces you actually use and where friction still kills follow-through.

  • Morning: capture what matters today.
  • During the day: use the nearest appropriate surface for one real but non-sensitive moment.
  • Evening: capture what changed and what tomorrow should begin with.
  • Feedback: tell us what was confusing and include your device and app version. Remove private content from any screenshot.
