Send anything from any Android app to your board.

SharetoBoard registers as a share target. Wherever you see Android's share button, you can send straight to your Poppy board.

Steps

  1. Tap Share in any appBrowser, email, photos, social apps, podcast apps — anywhere with a share button.
  2. Pick SharetoBoardIt appears in your share sheet. Pin it with Android's pin option for fastest access.
  3. Confirm or editOptionally edit the text or add a quick note before sending.
  4. See statusToast confirms: Sent, Queued, or Needs setup.

What you can share

Tip. If your share menu does not show SharetoBoard, scroll to the end and tap More. Pin it for next time.

Selected text (PROCESS_TEXT)

Highlight any text in any app — browser, reader, email, notes — and SharetoBoard appears in the text-selection menu (the popup with Copy / Share / etc.). Tap SharetoBoard and the selection goes straight to your target board, no share-sheet detour.

  1. Long-press textIn any Android app that supports text selection.
  2. Drag the selection handlesTo cover what you want to keep.
  3. Tap the overflow menu (⋮)Then pick SharetoBoard. (On some launchers, SharetoBoard appears directly in the popup.)
  4. DoneThe selection is captured. If it’s a URL, it’s detected and sent as a link.
Read-only. SharetoBoard registers as a read-only text processor — it never modifies the text in the source app.

Images and videos (media convert)

Share an image or video to SharetoBoard and it opens the native media convert screen. Convert to a board-friendly format, then send — or cancel and try a different format.

  1. Share an image or videoFrom your gallery, photo app, or any media app.
  2. Pick SharetoBoardThe media convert screen opens with progress.
  3. Convert and sendSharetoBoard handles the format conversion locally before posting to your board.
One item at a time. If you share multiple media items at once, SharetoBoard processes the first one and notifies you. Multi-media conversion is on the roadmap.

Offline behavior

Sharing a URL or text while offline drops the item into the offline queue. It delivers automatically the next time you bring SharetoBoard to the foreground with a connection.
