Notes, recordings and photos on Android

The Android beta lets you create encrypted local notes, start recordings, transcribe English audio on your device, take front-camera photos and import files you select. You can review and edit captures in the local Inbox, play recordings, export or delete items, and recover interrupted captures where possible.

• Local captures are encrypted in the app’s private storage and excluded from Android backup where configured.
• Native audio transcription runs on-device. Audio from local Record is not sent to a speech provider.
• Quick-note dictation removes source audio by default unless you choose to retain it.
• Selfie starts only from its visible screen and requests optional camera permission there.
• Import uses only the exact Android picker or share-sheet grants you select; no broad storage or media-library permission is requested.
• The closed-test edition does not upload local captures to Poppy. Creating a note, recording, photo or import does not automatically share it.

Poppy workflows are separate

Poppy Talk is separate from Native Record. When you start Poppy Talk, the embedded Poppy service handles microphone audio, recording, transcription, board content, and account data under Poppy's and its authentication provider's policies.

Confirmed online text and links are shown with the selected target board before routing. Canceling does not route them. Native artifacts are not sent to Poppy automatically.

Poppy uses Clerk for authentication. The beta supports the email-and-password option presented by Poppy. Google sign-in is not supported inside SharetoBoard, and the app never asks you to send support passwords, verification codes, sign-in links, authorization codes, tokens, cookies, or session secrets.

Boop privacy

Boop keeps the names, labels, and public Poppy chatbot links in the browser storage on the device where you save them. The QR code is generated on that device. SharetoBoard does not receive a Boop account, bot catalog, Poppy credential, API key, visitor scan log, or chatbot conversation through this web app.

Opening, scanning, or sharing a saved bot sends the public link to the destination selected by the user. The chatbot and its conversation are then handled by Poppy under Poppy's policies. Exported Boop catalog backups remain under the user's control.

Adding a bot does not publish it or add it to a public directory. Boop does not make a public Poppy link private: anyone who already has that link may still be able to use it, subject to Poppy's access controls.

Your shelf is stored with SharetoBoard website data in this browser, not in a separate protected vault. Other scripts running on the same SharetoBoard website origin can access that storage. Installing Boop adds an app shortcut, not a separate storage boundary. Keep only public chatbot links here, use your own browser profile, and export a backup before clearing site data. Boop does not sync shelves across browsers or devices.

Website checkout

The pricing page checks which payment options are available. It does not send a request to Stripe until you choose an active purchase button, and SharetoBoard does not collect card details on this website.

Stripe handles the information you submit on its hosted checkout under Stripe's policies. SharetoBoard may receive the contact, order, and transaction details Stripe makes available to fulfill purchases, prevent fraud, process refunds, and provide support.

Permissions and controls

• Microphone: visible Native Record and user-started Poppy Talk.
• Camera: optional visible Selfie capture.
• Notifications: recording controls, local status, and reminders.
• Calendar: optional on-device nudges for calendars you select; event details are not transmitted by that feature.
• Network: the selected Poppy board and confirmed Poppy text/link workflows over HTTPS.

The beta does not request Play Billing, broad external-storage/media-library, location, contacts, or health permissions.

What this closed-test edition does not do

The closed-test Android edition does not send local media to cloud services, deliver items to Notion or Drive, run voice agents, or process subscriptions. It does not use analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking.

Retention and deletion

• Local owner captures remain until you delete them from the Inbox or uninstall the app.
• Incomplete or damaged temporary files are separated from usable captures or removed.
• Poppy board/account content must be managed through Poppy.
• Eligible historical support records may be requested for deletion at support@sharetoboard.com.

Independent product and contact

SharetoBoard is an independent third-party product ecosystem. Poppy membership is separate and managed by Poppy. SharetoBoard is not affiliated with or endorsed by Poppy.

No software or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. We will update this page and, where required, show fresh in-app consent before enabling changed data behavior.
