SharetoBoard
Voice capture

Tap once. Speak into the Poppy board you already opened.

Voice capture today is TalktoBoard: SharetoBoard triggers the recorder on your open Poppy board. Poppy records and transcribes. SharetoBoard does not record, buffer, store, transcribe, or upload microphone audio.

How TalktoBoard works today

  1. You trigger recordTap Record in the 2×1 widget, the record tile, or the in-app record button.
  2. Android shows the actionA visible Android notification confirms the recording path was started. Stop with the same control.
  3. Poppy handles the audioSharetoBoard relays the action to the recorder running on your open board in the WebView.
  4. The transcript lands in PoppyPoppy produces the transcript and posts it there. SharetoBoard reports the handoff as Routed, or Needs setup if the board or permission is missing.
Privacy line. Audio capture and transcription are performed by your Poppy board and governed by Poppy's privacy policy. SharetoBoard does not touch the microphone audio itself. See Privacy Policy.

What SharetoBoard does not do

SharetoBoard has no native audio recorder, local transcription, audio upload, or offline voice queue. Poppy handles the recording and transcript inside the board you opened.

Try this first

  1. Open your target Poppy boardMake sure the board is loaded before using the voice shortcut.
  2. Tap Record from SharetoBoardUse the widget, tile, or in-app button.
  3. Say one sentenceKeep the first test short so the result is obvious.
  4. Check the statusIf it says Routed, the handoff worked. If it says Needs setup, check board setup and permissions.

Common questions

What if I lose signal mid-record?

Without signal, the embedded board cannot reach Poppy and the recorder will not start. Typed notes and shared URLs also require an online board because offline delivery is unavailable.

Can I edit the transcript?

Editing happens in your Poppy board after the transcript appears there.

What language is supported?

TalktoBoard inherits whatever languages your Poppy board supports.

Why did my recording fail?

Most failures are missing mic permission, no target board, or a Poppy board that is not ready. See Troubleshooting.
