Capture ideas with your voice. Stay private.

Speech is transcribed on your device using Vosk (Apache-2.0). Audio does not leave your phone for transcription. The resulting text is what gets sent to your target Poppy board.

How a voice capture works

  1. You trigger recordTap the 1×1 record widget, the record tile, or the in-app record button.
  2. Recording indicator showsA visible Android notification confirms the mic is in use. Stop with the same control.
  3. Transcription runs locallyVosk turns speech into text on your device. Nothing is sent for this step.
  4. Text is sent to your boardThe transcript posts to your target Poppy board. Status: Sent or Queued.
Privacy. The Vosk model runs locally. There is no cloud transcription. See Privacy Policy.

Common questions

What if I lose signal mid-record?

The transcript is saved to your offline queue and sent after you approve. See Offline queue.

Can I edit the transcript?

Yes. After recording, you can edit the captured text before send if the flow exposes that step.

What language is supported?

Currently US English using the small Vosk model bundled with the app.

Why did my recording fail?

Most failures are missing mic permission or no target board set. See Troubleshooting.
