SharetoBoardCan I record offline?
Native Capture can save a local recording where it is included. TalktoBoard needs an online Poppy board. Queue delivery is a separate feature and is not included in the limited beta.
Record a thought locally or speak into Poppy.
SharetoBoard has two different voice paths. Native Capture records on your phone where that feature is included. TalktoBoard opens the recorder on your Poppy board. Check which screen you are using before you start.
Native Capture: save on your phone
- Open the local Record action and allow microphone access when Android asks.
- Start recording, then use the visible Stop control when you are done.
- Find the recording in the local Inbox and review any on-device transcript.
- Choose an available export or delivery action when you are ready to share. Saving locally does not send the recording to Poppy.
Local recordings and notes are stored in encrypted app storage. Transcription can make mistakes; read the result before relying on it. Available languages and delivery options depend on your edition.
TalktoBoard: use Poppy’s recorder
- Open the intended Poppy board and wait for it to load.
- Use the TalktoBoard recording control from the app or its configured shortcut.
- Speak, then stop with the recording control.
- Check Poppy for the audio or transcript. Routed means the control was handed to the board, not that transcription is complete.
Online audio: Poppy handles recording and transcription on this path, under its own service and privacy terms. This is different from a locally saved Native Capture recording. See the Privacy Policy.
If the recorder will not start
Check microphone permission in Android Settings. For TalktoBoard, also check your internet connection, Poppy sign-in and chosen board. For local recording, make sure you opened the local Record screen rather than the Poppy shortcut.
After an interruption, check the local Inbox or the Poppy board before recording the same thought again. Do not assume an interrupted online recording has been saved offline.

Where do I edit a transcript?
Review local transcripts in the app’s available capture controls. A transcript created by Poppy is managed on your Poppy board.
Who can see the audio?
A local capture stays in the app until you choose an available export or delivery action. Audio recorded through Poppy follows Poppy’s account and data-handling rules.
