SharetoBoard
Optional Inbox · Notion

Use Notion as an optional capture inbox and provenance log.

SharetoBoard's core job is fast Android capture for Poppy workflows. Notion is an optional backlog lane: connect once with official Notion OAuth, verify a database, and approve queued captures into a SharetoBoard Inbox when you want a durable trail outside the live board.

How it works

1. Connect once

Open SharetoBoard → Settings → Notion Inbox → Connect. The app opens Notion’s official OAuth flow in your browser and returns to SharetoBoard automatically via sharetoboard://oauth/notion.

2. Verify one inbox database

Paste the database ID for your SharetoBoard Inbox, save it, and tap Verify. The app checks the required schema (Title, CaptureID, Source, Status, Type) before it starts syncing queued captures.

3. Approve uploads

When Notion-first is enabled, queued captures sync into Notion only after you explicitly approve uploads. Poppy remains the live board workflow; Notion is the optional inbox and provenance log.

What reaches Notion today

Current behavior, plainly

Notion is currently the approved queue destination, not a full replacement for the live Poppy board flow or Poppy's own Notion-related features.

  • Poppy board: live board actions, hotkeys, recording, Ask, URL shortcuts, media attach.
  • Notion Inbox: queued captures that sync after the user approves uploads, useful for triage and provenance.
  • No field mapping UI yet: the app expects a fixed Notion schema and verifies it before syncing.

What was verified on a real phone

  • Cold offline share -> queue: a text note shared from Android while offline was queued locally instead of being dropped into the live board flow.
  • User approval is required: setup surfaced a pending-sync dialog showing the queued capture type before any upload started.
  • Approved sync -> Notion page: after tapping Start sync now, SharetoBoard ran its sync worker, created a Notion page, stored the Notion page proof, and cleared the queue.

Notion OAuth connect screen

Settings → Notion → Connect, with the official Notion authorize page open. Real device capture lands here once collected.

Use cases

ChatGPT answer -> Notion Inbox

Share a useful ChatGPT answer from Android into SharetoBoard. If you are offline or moving fast, let it queue first, then approve the sync into your Notion Inbox when you are ready to triage.

Browser research -> backlog

Save an article, YouTube URL, or X thread while you are moving fast. The queued link becomes a Notion capture page with a stable Capture ID, source marker, and link body for later sorting.

Poppy live, Notion as safety net

Use Poppy as the live board surface for recording, Ask, shortcuts, and media. Use Notion as the approved backlog lane for captures you want reviewed later instead of routed immediately.

Workflow examples

Voice memo -> queue -> Notion

Capture a quick note while offline, then approve upload later so the transcript lands in your SharetoBoard Inbox database with the capture metadata intact.

Share to board now, sort in Notion later

Use the live Poppy board for immediate action, then keep Notion-first enabled so deferred captures still accumulate in a clean review queue.

Research backlog for content planning

Build a queue of links, snippets, and transcripts from multiple apps on Android, then review and tag them inside the Notion Inbox before moving them into your wider system.

Pricing

During the 1.2-beta: Notion integration is open to every user with the app installed. No paywall, no SKU check.

At general availability: Notion will be part of the Plus tier (planned) and the Pro tier (live in app today). The Free tier will continue to support Poppy boards but not Notion.
